Reminders From the Office
To report an absence please call 610-351-5800 option 2 or email fvattendance@parklandsd.net. All absences should be reported by 9:00AM daily.
If your child(ren) are leaving early please send in a hand written note with your child(ren) to give to their teacher at arrival or call the main office 610-351-5800.
Please do NOT use the Parkland App (Apptegy) or any other electronic communication tool to communicate dismissal changes. Classroom teachers have very limited access to these electronic tools during the school day and in the event of a staff absence the message will not be seen at all. In the rare instance of a midday change, please call the school office at 610-351-5830 and speak to a staff member.
Preplanned Absences ~ Student Leave of Absence Permit - Revised for 2026 - This form is to be used whenever a student has a preplanned absence from school for an entire day(s).
District Reminders
The Parkland Community Advisory Council will hold its October meeting on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Administration Building, located at 1210 Springhouse Rd, Allentown, PA 18104. These monthly meetings are open to the public. The topic of this meeting is Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS): A Framework for School Culture and Climate, led by Dr. Jamie Giaquinto, Dr. Jude Sandt, Dr. Monica Ouly-Uhl, and Mr. Nate Davidson. Food Service Accounts: Advance payments for cafeteria purchases can be made at www.schoolcafe.com/ParklandSD or by sending a check (payable to PSD Cafeteria) to the Food Services Office at 2619 Stadium Drive, Orefield, PA 18069.
