CLIU, in conjunction with local business Suntex, is hosting a First in Math: LoveMath challenge for the month of May, and we need your help. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students finished PSSA ELA testing this week. We are proud of their hard work and perseverance! This coming week, they will take the PSSA Math test and 5th grade will be tested in Science as well. Cell Phone and Smart Watch Reminders: This is a reminder that students are not permitted to utilize cell phones or smart watches in school. These devices must be turned off and kept in the child's backpack. Any watch worn by a student can only be utilized as a regular watch. Texting, calling, or taking photos/ video on a phone or watch is not permitted. If the nurse or school staff needs to reach parents, we will call you directly. If you need to reach your child, please contact the main office. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to keep our school environment safe and free from distraction.

Parkland Parent University: The Anxious Generation (April 14 at 6 PM at SMS)- This essential workshop addresses the mental health crisis affecting Gen Z, drawing on Jonathan Haidt’s book, The Anxious Generation. Parkland Reading Specialist Laura Coulson and IT teacher Dr. Scott Exaros will share practical strategies to help K-12 parents find family balance and thrive in a digital world. The event is on Tuesday, April 14 at 6 PM at the Springhouse Middle School Auditorium.
